Lalit Chudiwala Profile

Lalit Chudiwala My Journey of Research and Discovery
My journey began in 2010,

When I lost my work and business and reached a very difficult point in life. I prayed to God to show me a path through which I could contribute something meaningful to the world. Around that time,

I watched a documentary on India TV about Ravana’s Pushpak Vimana and references to mercury and hydrocarbons.

This inspired me to study mercury. I began reading, researching and conducting small experiments. I studied nearly 10,000 research papers and also studied aeronautics in detail. During this research,

I came across historical claims about Dr. Talpade’s 1895 experiment in Mumbai, in which an aircraft-like object was reportedly flown using a mercury vortex engine.

I eventually filed my first patent in 2013. Later, teams from Shiv Nadar University and the Inter University Accelerator Centre visited my home and advised that the reaction could release significant energy and should not be performed at home. I therefore closed my laboratory in 2014.

Meanwhile, my personal life went through a major crisis. I became separated from my family, wife and children and began living in an NGO. In 2015, the Adani Group in Ahmedabad invited me to present my research.

Assistant Professor Dr. Deepak asked me to provide an experimental model and approvals from universities and IITs, which I did not have at that time, so I returned. Later, Dr. Vinay Gupta of Delhi University supported me and helped prepare simulation data in his laboratory.

The simulations indicated the possibility of significant energy generation from the reaction. However, I still had neither a prototype nor a complete design methodology. In 2018, I filed my second patent based on these results. Despite my family relationships completely breaking down, I continued my research with faith in God. In 2020,

I suffered a severe motorcycle accident and remained in a coma for 12 days. I survived despite serious head injuries. In 2021, I lost my father and younger brother to COVID-19. Life tested me repeatedly, but I continued.

When I recovered in 2022, my 2013 patent had been granted, giving me renewed strength to continue. We continued the research through 2023 and 2024, and in 2024 we filed our third patent. During this period, my friend Rupesh ji helped me develop a prototype. Initial tests produced approximately 2.5% hydrogen and 1% propane below 200°C,

which we consider a very encouraging preliminary result. Our research indicates potential for producing low-cost hydrogen, ethane, propane, ethylene, ethanol and methanol from sources such as biogas, natural gas and methane. These possibilities require further scientific validation and independent testing. For me, this journey is not only about research—it is a story of faith, struggle, loss, survival and never giving up on an idea.

Current Project Status — From Waste to Green Economy
We have developed patented technology to produce low-cost Green Hydrogen, Green LPG, Green Plastics, Bio-Ethylene and Propylene from biomethane/CBG generated from organic waste, Napier grass and cow dung.

Key Products
Green Hydrogen:
< $0.85/kg
Green LPG: ~$0.84/kg
Green Plastic: ~$0.95/kg
Coming Soon: Green Methanol & Ethanol
Key Projects Biomethane → Green Hydrogen + LPG — Incubation: UPES, Dehradun Biomethane/CBG → Bio-Ethylene + Propylene + Green Hydrogen — Incubation: IIT Ropar

Current Status: TRL-5 Completed

Next Stage: Prototype → Pilot Plant → Industrial Scale → Commercial Production

The next stage requires proper laboratory facilities, scientific and engineering expertise, advanced equipment and independent testing to establish the design, parameters, efficiency, safety and scalability of the technology.

Our vision is to turn waste into valuable clean energy and green chemicals for a greener, cleaner and more self-reliant future.
